The composition She Had Become an Elementary Particle, for flute, violoncello and percussion was commissioned by the 2021 Novalis Festival. As indicated in the title, the inspiration for it comes from the multidimensional female figure and the complexity of interpersonal relationships, with a particular emphasis on the period of creation during the global pandemic. The instruments in this concise composition are connected by the similarity of the colors of specific extended techniques that can be applied to each of them, with an emphasis on producing noise, specifically white noise, for example, specific bow strokes, the sound of breathing, scratching of percussion membranes etc., and on sonority, which ranges from an elementary particle to the multidimensionality of sound in space. The composition is built on dynamically muted vertical blocks, with an irregular correlation between contrast and loud musical content. Flautist Ana Batinica, cellist Vid Veljak, and percussionist Luis Camacho Montealegre premiered the piece at the opening of the Novalis Festival at Osijek Cultural Center on October 7, 2021.
