Hrvatski gitarski kvartet: Bagatelles for Home Use

According to the members of the Croatian Guitar Quartet, they wanted to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the founding of their ensemble by recording compositions by Croatian composers that have not yet been recorded. From the project preparation phase they fondly remember meetings and discussions with the composer Zoran Juranić, whose title of the composition is also the title of the CD.

 

 

CROATIAN GUITAR QUARTET

 

Zoran Dukić, Petrit Çeku, Maroje Brčić and Tvrtko Sarić held their first concert together in 2016. Subsequently, they presented themselves to the audience in Croatia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic on a number of concert tours and at concerts with the Zagreb Soloists and the Varaždin Chamber Orchestra. They won the Orlando Award for their performance at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in 2017. Since 2020, the Quartet has performed under the name the Croatian Guitar Quartet. That same year, together with four fellow guitarists (Morana Pešutić, Pedro Riberio Rodrigues, Tomislav Vukšić and Krešimir Bedek) they released the album Guitarrismo (Croatia records), which was nominated for the Porin in two categories. The Quartet’s concert program covers nearly all musical periods, with performances and premieres of compositions by Croatian composers being an integral part of it.
