Croatian Soundscapes album release is an expression of two anniversaries: the 20th anniversary of the existence and activity of Rucner String Quartet and the 60th birthday of the composer, conductor and music pedagogue Tomislav Uhlik (October 24, 1956). Its purpose is to meld into a permanent record and in one place the multiple social activities of Rucner String Quartet through a chosen impetus utilizing a selection from Tomislav Uhlik’s works which will present them all as artists who enhanced a social relationship to the world of music and were active in the development, stimulation and enrichment of the Croatian music scene.
