Lazarin, Branko: String Quartet

BRANKO LAZARIN /composer, music pedagogue and author/ (Blaškovec, near Sv. Ivan Zelina, 22 August 1940) He graduated in composition in the class of Stjepan Šulek at the Zagreb Academy of Music, and continued his professional training at the Cologne Music College under Milko Kelemen. From 1971 to 1980 he work as a pedagogue in the Pavle Markovac Music School in Zagreb. Since 1980 he has been a professor of theoretical courses at the Zagreb Music Academy, first as docent, then as associate professor, until retirement achieving the position of full professor with tenure. As a music writer he has been an associate in daily and weekly papers (Telegram), periodical publications (Svesci, Primijenjena psihologija, Encyclopedia moderna) and the Third Programme of the Zagreb Radio.
