Lisinski, Vatroslav: Solo Songs

In addition to operas, choral works and orchestral compositions, a special position in the oeuvre of Vatroslav Lisinski (1819-1854) belongs to solo songs. Throughout his life, he composed lieder set to texts in the Croatian, German and Czech languages. Sixty-two of these works have been preserved, whereas half of those have been included in this publication. After Franjo Ksaver Kuhač, who presented Lisinski's songs in the collection Neuvelo cvieće (Unwithered Flowers, 1st edition in 1889, 2nd edition in 1905), it was not until 1969 that Lovro
